It has a very professional look, sporting a predominantly black color scheme with muted pink accents. It even has a cobra alignment symbol to help get your shots well-centered.
The face features high-strength thin 455 stainless steel for respectable ball speeds, and the club head is 10% larger than the previous King F8 model. With its Speedback Baffler technology, Cobra has re-designed their Baffler Rails to help optimize ball contact and prevent fat shots.
The 15g of tungsten in the rear and lower toe promotes a shallower CG and helps prevent twisting. With half-decent form, balls fly straight, which is not something we can often say when looking at other hybrids on the market.

While the SIM 2 is a superb hybrid in its own right, we have instead elected to choose the SIM 2 Max for this list due to its increased forgiveness. It’s best wielded by mid-to-high handicappers.
With the SIM 2 Max, you know primarily what you are getting, and that is one of the longest-hitting hybrids on the market. This is partly due to the Thru-Slot Speed Pocket, which sits behind the face. It is highly flexible and delivers top ball speed even if you don’t hit the ball cleanly in the center of the clubface.
As for the face itself, it’s a C300 steel face with Twist Face technology. Engineered for maximum pace, it’s a bit of a rocket, and the Twist Face tech helps prevent mis-hits for optimal distance and a straight ball flight path.
The SIM 2 Max uses TaylorMade’s new V Steel design. This reshuffles the weight to improve forgiveness while retaining a low CG. The heel and toe are depressed, thereby minimizing the sole area to improve turf connection.

Lining up your swing shouldn’t be an issue, though, as this hybrid has a rather symmetrical head shape and is weighted for a square positioning at address. You also have the help of an alignment aid, so all of the tools are in your favor.
Despite “D” standing for distance, its average yardage is a little lower than some of the other hybrids on this list. We believe this is mostly down to the high levels of spin it produces. Length
The first place to start when selecting a women’s hybrid is its length. As men’s hybrids are built to cater to the average male, and women’s hybrids are built to cater to the average female, they are of different lengths, usually around an inch or so. This doesn’t sound like much, but it’s pretty noticeable. So in most cases, the best hybrid golf clubs for women are those that are female variants.
However, while distinguishing between men’s and women’s hybrids is useful, it is quite literally NOT a one size fits all kind of deal. Tall women should purchase men’s hybrids, so be aware of this fact.
If you are 5’ 9” or taller, we recommend purchasing a men’s hybrid. Alternatively, on the other end, if you are less than 5’ 3”, a women’s hybrid may be too big for you. In this case, you should look into petite versions.
Shaft Material
