The TENSEI range of shafts integrates the most advanced materials ever produced by MCA.
They are dedicated to designing and developing the highest performing composite golf shafts for discerning golfers around the globe. Many professional golfers are using Mitsubishi Chemical golf shafts helping MCA to establish itself as a leader and innovator in the golf shaft industry.
The TENSEI range consists of three different shaft series, TENSEI™ AV series, TENSEI™ CK Pro series, and the TENSEI™ CK series.
Design and Technology
The TENSEI™ AV Series
The TENSEI™ AV Series is MCA GOLF’s latest generation, mid-launching profile based on the tour-proven, classic smooth bend profile.
Being the lightest of the three weight options, the AV series includes the Straight Flight Weighting (SFW) system to assist golfers in turning the club over easier through impact.
This straightens a slight fade or promotes a slight draw
This series offers a modernized version of the MCA GOLF’s tour-proven, classic smooth bend profile.
Aluminum Vapor Coated A in the butt section adds stability, to help achieve the desired EI target and stiffness.
Compared to the TENSEI™ CK Series, this is slightly lighter throughout, with lower torque.
With the AV weave being tighter and thinner than others in the series, it prevents the shaft from losing its round shape and to become oval. The round shape helps to improve energy transfer.
Three TENSEI™ AV RAW options within the AV series exposes the Aluminum Vapor (AV) Coated Weave in the butt section.

TENSEI CK Series Shafts
The new TENSEI™ CK Series features a multi-material design that optimizes classic, tour-proven MCA GOLF bend profiles using exotic materials to enhance performance and efficiency.
While a typical shaft series includes between three and six materials, the TENSEI™ CK Series combines 11 different prepreg materials.
This includes its proprietary Low Resin Content (L.R.C.) Prepreg, ultra-thin prepreg, and a Carbon Fiber/DuPont™ Kevlar® (CK) weave featuring Mitsubishi Chemical carbon fiber. DuPont™ Kevlar® is a trademark or registered trademark of E. I. du Pont de Nemours & Company
It provides enhanced stability and maximum feel through an extremely versatile design integrating a premium 40-Ton hybrid prepreg infused with tungsten powder (High Modulus) in targeted positions throughout the shaft.
A tip-section reinforced with MR70 delivers lower torque and tour preferred control and stability.
TENSEI™ CK Pro Series
The TENSEI™ CK Series combines 11 different prepreg materials, including our Low Resin Content (L.R.C.) Prepreg, ultra-thin prepreg and for the first time a Carbon Fiber/DuPont™ Kevlar® weave featuring Mitsubishi Chemical carbon fiber – refining MCA GOLF’s tour-proven, classic smooth bend profile, taking it to an entirely new level.

Looks
The Mitsubishi Tensei range features a carbon fiber top section of the shaft with a small colored band around the mid-section to indicate the model.
The rest of the shaft has a straight-forward gloss black finish with the white Tensei graphics in the middle of the shaft.
The RAW finish reveals the Aluminum Vapor (AV) Coated Weave in the butt section offering a visible cue of the added stability this unique weave provides.
It looks neat and clean with adequate design detail to stand out.
Feel
The Mitsubishi Chemical Tensei AV Blue feels like the clubhead is accelerating and bursting through impact whilst still remaining stable and square through the hitting zone.
You can feel the shaft load at the top of your swing through the release in the downswing.
The light 55-gram version offers the Straight Flight Weighting (SFW) system making it easier to turn the clubhead over at impact reducing the risk of a slice.
