Brooks Koepka is in tip-top form with a stranglehold on lead at the 2023 Masters Tournament. He shot an eagle, 11 birdies, 23 pars, and just one bogey through two rounds. He has hit 25 of 28 fairways and 17 of 18 greens in regulation and is averaging just 1.58 putts per hole.
However, a tree fell from strong winds suspending play for day 2. Play continues on Saturday for golfers who haven’t finished their round.
Plus, the weather is expected to worsen, which could make things more difficult for Koepka. He must also be careful of his reconstructed knee, which could be susceptible to injury on slick surfaces and wet pine straw.
Despite the challenges, Koepka is in a great position to win his second green jacket. He has played brilliantly so far, and if he can maintain his form, he will be very difficult to beat.
